  • Directions to campsite: Crocodile Camp is located 12km north of Maun on the Shorobe road, towards Moremi and Chobe. Drive straight thru Maun out towards Shorobe/Moremi (North), after 8.5 km the road will cross the Thamalakane River, directly (900 m) after the bridge there is a traffic circle/round-about, turn left towards Shorobe, 2.5 km onwards you will find Crocodile Camp on the left hand side of the road.

Most popular is the ‘mokoro’ excursions, become part of the bustling river life by easing between the papyrus clad banks on traditional ‘mokoro’ canoes. These are propelled from the stern by skilled poler guides, allowing the guests to sit back and absorb the scenery. For full day trips, Crocodile Camp prepares delicious picnic lunches which can be enjoyed on the banks of the river after a bush walk and refreshing swim in the natural delta pools. Also Available: Scenic Flights, Cultural Tours, and daytrips to Moremi Nature reserve.

  • Comments: Crocodile Camp campsite is popular for its shady trees and 24 hour security. Situated on the doorstep of the Okavango Delta, it is the ideal stop-over point while on safari. Electrical and water points, braai areas and ablution facilities are available, while pre-erected meru tents can be booked for those too tired to set up!
