Comments, Rules and Notes

CommentsABIQUA RIVER CAMP is a lovely grassy and shady site on the northern banks of the Orange River in the Richtersveld. The sites are on the river and look onto the majestic Geelkrans cliffs. Braaing facilities are available at each site. A lapa houses a bar and an eating area. 1 to 4-day canoeing trips are available, and the fishing is good. Over 100 bird species have been sighted along the section of the river. With a short walk from the campsite, petroglyphs can be viewed. Ais-Ais and the Fish River Canyon are a 2-hour drive away, either by means of a 4x4 route or via the tarred B1 highway.
