  • Comments: Ngepi camp, situated in the unspoiled upper reaches of the Okavango delta panhandle in the western Caprivi strip – Namibia. The camp is set under amazing trees with permanent river frontage and surrounded by seasonally flooded swamps nestled between the Mahango National park , and the Bwabwatu National park across the river. The wooden deck overlooking the river is the ideal place to watch the sunrises whilst being serenaded by hippos and fish eagles. Try the unique floating swimming pool, a different slant on “cage diving”! New delightful en-suite tree houses and the inviting grassed campsites are shaded by huge trees and the showers and loos are legendary.. There is exciting game viewing in the Mahango National Park next door (see the worlds largest herds of rare sable and roan antelope) The bird watching is excellent, over 500 species, and there are guided walks, mokoro safaris, cultural village experiences, historic pre-independence tours, sunset cruises or a day trip to see Bushman art at Tsodillo hills. Our Namibian Okavango swamp ‘Mokoro/Watu’ canoe starts from Popa falls via a San bushman settlement, past islands and swamp, while seeing crocs, hippos and otters, followed by? a game drive in the park that has a myriad of plains game, as well as elephants, lion, buffalo and more. We have a strong environmental policy and act as the facilitators for the guests to interface with the local San bushmen and Hambukushu tribes, to get an understanding of their symbiosis with the environment and therefore a life long commitment to protecting the dynamics of the area, as well as constructively supporting a workable future. ?‘The meeting place’….. come and ‘get a life’ … or just dream on.
