Access Road: Gravel road
Closest Town: Barkley East
Directions to campsite: From Barkley East go in the direction of Lady Grey for about 4 km. Turn right following signs to "Wartrail". Travel on gravel road for 36km turning right at both crossroads following signs to "Tiffendell Valley Destinations" and "Balloch Cottages". The last 4 km of the 36km is a very high descent at the base of which is the Vlooikraal river. Turn left to Balloch before crossing the river- 5km up the farm road to reception.

Comments, Rules and Notes

Comments: Our campsite "Balloch Cave" is already enjoyed by numerous adventure runners who have competed in the "Wartrail Tri Challenge". The campsite is set in a large sheltered overhang and boasts views of our spectacular farm and propably the most special valley in South Africa if not the world- where sandstone formations show off their splendour and the Willowstream ripples nearby.
Additional Comments: Campsite on a farm
Special rules: Our campsite is for the use of one group at a time so noise is not an issue.
