Comments, Rules and Notes

  • Comments: The campsite is situaded about 9 km from the farmhouse and ideally uited for the visitor who prefers silence and the quiet of nature - in a typical Karooveld. An abundance of animals, plants and birds to be viewed on the farm. Visitors welcome to walk/ drive around and explore nature. We can also provide a map with different driving routes on the farm. All the veldroutes are available for mountainbiking. There are 2 4x4 routes. The easier route takes about 1 hour to complete, and the tougher route takes 3 hours. There is a fountain (depending on the rainfall) close to the campsite. Each site has its own powerpoint, tap and braai. The washing up facilities are in the ablution block, which is equipped with a hotwater shower, flush toilet and powerpoint. At Elandsheuwel the silence will enfold you and you definitely become part of nature. PLEASE NOTE: Only 2x4 and 4x4 vehicles can reach the campsite. The site doesn't form part of a 4x4 route, but can definitely not be reached by sedan vehicles.
  • Additional Comments: Campsite on a farm and part of a 4x4 route
  • Special rules: No music. The campsite is situated in the veld, so it would be appreciated if visitors respect the silence and enjoy nature.
  • Other: Accommodation available at main residence. If campers get tired of campfood, I will be happy to provide breakfasts or dinners.
