  • Directions to campsite: From Mokopane: take the R101 south (Mookgophong) - 18 km from Mokopane the Sterkrivier road turns to the right (sign not very clear so be on the look out). Follow the tar road for approximately 36 km till it ends and then 6 km on the gravel road (the road is bad, drive slowly). The brown wall with Mabote's sign is on the left. Follow the signs to Reception (5km).

  • Comments: The Mabote Etsebet Camp was created for the campers with 4x4 caravans & 4x4 trailers. Trees were cut open for shade and a huge shade tree offes seating and a braai area. Unspoilt nature with a view towards the sandstone cliffs. Approximately 7 km from the dam.
  • Additional Comments: Bush camp on a farm
  • Special rules: Soft radio, be considerate, no drumming or loud noise
  • Other: Water car with approximately 200 litre of water is supplied
