Directions and Road Condition

Access Road: Gravel road
Closest Town: Citrusdal
Directions to campsite: Take the N1 direction Paarl. Take the N7 turnoff (left) toward Malmesbury. Continue on the N7 for 175km. Take the turn-off right from the N7 highway towards Citrusdal. When you enter Citrusdal, stop at the first stop street and then turn left into Main Rd (Voortrekker rd) and turn right into 3rd Rd on right (Muller Street) drive right up hill onto gravel rd and take first right to Boontjiesrivier farm. Follow the signs to our campsite.

Comments, Rules and Notes

Comments: The Boontjiesrivier Campsite is situated on a working citrus farm just 3km out of Citrusdal. Here you can experience nature at its best as it is unspoilt and private. The Boontjiesrivier Campsite has 2 sites to setup camp on, one is underneath a big tree for great shade and the other is near the river. Both sites have their own power outlet and the ablutions are modernly done, but to fit in with the natural surroundings. The campsite is perfect for two small groups or one bigger private group of about 20 people in total. The river is unfortunately too shallow and rocky for use of canoes, but great for swimming or fishing. If you bring your own mountain bikes, you would be able to ride along the gravel roads to appreciate the beautiful surroundings.

Special rules: Music can be played at a reasonable level if you are the only group on the campsite
