  • Directions to campsite: We are 20 mins (38 km) east of Montagu. Take R318 out of Montagu, continue on through Die Keisie, up Burger's Pass and continue on past Concordia shop, school & community centre. First left signposted Langdam. Continue along dirt track 4, 5 km, turn left into Langdam entrance.

  • Security: Our remoteness is our security. The sites are accessible by one road only which passes by the main farmhouse & we have excellent watchdogs, goose & duck… !SERIOUSLY! We have recently recruited two new members to the Langdam Canine Crew- Gosl & Tosl- hand reared gosling & duckling.

Comments, Rules and Notes

  • Comments: Come, visit with us & relax in our Paradise in the Koo Valley, near Montagu. Take it easy, strolling around our working fruit farm & Mountain Retreat. We're halfway up the stunning Langeberg Mountain Range & you may hike or mountain bike up the other half if you wish! We also have a lekker Quartz Mountain Trail for you to tackle if you dare! If all this sounds a little TOO much fun (!), you can have a relaxing swim in our mountain water dams. We have two for you to choose from- a natural dam & a solar dam. Come and make friends with our animals, ducks, chickens & geese. Meet Harry (-possibly the largest & oldest pig in Montagu!) & his family Everyone is welcome & you can choose between family-sized, couple-sized (honeymoon style) accommodation or camping. We have something for everyone! All you need to bring is your food, your tent, your sunscreen & yourselves (!). Optional extras to bring include- your mountain bike, your strong shoes, your swimwear, your camera & anything else you can think of because you're going to have a wonderful stay with us, doing as much or as little as you wish. We highly recommend that you bring your stress too, just so that you can leave it behind at the end of your stay!
  • Additional Comments: Campsite on a farm mountain retreat
  • Special rules: When sharing the campsite with other campers, please be respectful & keep noise levels to a minimum. No loud music, radios, drumming, guitar, generators...etc. If you are part of a large group using the campsite exclusively, you can make as much noise as you wish- on condition that you don’t scare our local birds & wildlife!
  • Other: The communal cottage at the campsite is great for large groups, overnight hikers & partying.
