  • Directions to campsite: From Cape Town, take the N1 to Worcester and then take the R60 to Robertson. After you reach the Shell Garage and KFC in Robertson turn right towards McGregor at the four-way stop. Continue for approximately 3 km and turn left at the fork in the road just after the bridge. Drive another 16 km then turn left onto the gravel road sign posted Bonnievale/Stormsvlei for 400 m then turn left at the first farm on the left-hand side at the sign posted Uitvlugt, Frans and Gretha Swanepoel.

  • Comments: Set in the picturesque McGregor surrounded by mountains, Uitvlugt offers a well-balanced, quiet atmosphere with space to breath fresh mountain air and feel free. Sit by the side of the dam like you did when you were a child and wiggle your toes in the water. Leave the world behind and come spend some time in our part of the country, just a stone's throw away from the historical village of McGregor and a short drive from the best vineyards and wine cellars. We offer two self-catering cottages; one is more suited for a couple looking for a romantic getaway while the second cottage is ideal for a young family as it sleeps four people. Our spacious campsites lie nestled between the mountains and overlook the dam on the farm which is fed by mountain streams from the very nearby Sonderend Mountains. At the moment we don't have shade, but the trees are growing.
